Y2k Club with Live Band and more...

Went to a place in Roppongi called Y2K to check out some live band action. We tried to entere about 30mins before but was not allowed in. We decided to kill some time at this pub upon seeing Stout selling abt 550 Yen. 3 persons, 3 drinks, one plate of peanuts... the bill was 4500 yen. Apparently each drink was 1000yen and each person had to pay 500yen for entrance fee. Lesson learnt, In Roppongi, always ask before you order.

This is my first time to a live band in Japan and it was quite suprising to enter a warehouse place with bare minimum renovation. The floor is cement and there were about 5 tables around with no chairs.

Like any live indie places, there are the good, bad and plain sucky. I got a chance to see a 10man band which was pretty entertaining. A true blue J-Rock band and eve saw this band which to me felt as if they are stuck in the 70s J-Rock.

After which we travelled to Shibuya for some Clubbing experience. Virgin experience for all of us. The clubs are very different. Very strict entry with body and bag search. No cameras too, which is weird especially when the Japanese are camwhores. Tons of lockers available. The decorations were BARE MINIMUM. Cement floor and a few tables. And no one had a bottle opened, all plastic cups and no jugs too. I noticed not much drinking going around, which is damn weird to me. There were no waiters to take your order, you want a drink go QUEUE at the bar counter. The DJ is the god there, everyone will dance facing the DJ which he even try to work the crowd up.

1000 yen for going in before 12 for the first club (Atom) i went. Very small R&B area, next floor had a bigger dance area for trance and another floor playing ermm...I don`t even know how to classify that. Anyway, the trance area was filled with the Tanned Shibuya girls, with blond hair. They danced para para with trance. The R&B area had a whole different look in terms of people. And they had two very hot and sexy girls in bra and a short mini skirt dancing beside the DJ booth. Out of 10 girls, 7 were pretty and all are decked up in their best. We got bored of the place cause it was too small and head of to another which was 3000yen (average price). This club had the same bare decorations but with a bigger dance floor. Same thing, pretty gals in abundance. Fashionable dressing and minimal drinking going on.

The best place to catch the prettiest girls (because there is more light) is near the toilet area. And if you do catch a glimpse inside, it is like jam packed with gorgeous babes. *nose bleed* The seem to love to face the DJ and dance, even if it means that they are facing the wall (the DJ booth is very high).

And it was 4.30 am when I left.....
