Food over the weekend

Made some butter cookies since I am trying to clear the fridge for the up and coming holidays. Nice yummy cookies.

I think I have found the perfect mixture for pancakes. Even the tangy sauce was done in house.

I actually thought my scrambled eggs taste like those from Mc Donald, but a little watery.

I know recently there are more and more Japanese snacks getting brought into Singapore, if you got a chance, grab some Meiji. The organge and pistachio flavours are pretty good.

Pieces

I tried to be perfect
But nothing was worth it
I don’t believe it makes me real
I thought it’d be easy
But no one believes me
I meant all the things I said

If you believe it’s in my soul
I’d say all the words that I know
Just to see if it would show
That I’m trying to let you know
That I’m better off on my own

This place is so empty
My thoughts are so tempting
I don’t know how it got so bad
Sometimes it’s so crazy
That nothing can save me
But it’s the only thing that I have

If you believe it’s in my soul
I’d say all the words that I know
Just to see if it would show
That I’m trying to let you know
That I’m better off on my own

On my own

I tried to be perfect
It just wasn’t worth it
Nothing could ever be so wrong
It’s hard to believe me
It never gets easy
I guess I knew that all along

If you believe it’s in my soul
I’d say all the words that I know
Just to see if it would show
That I’m trying to let you know
That I’m better off on my own

Sky's Birthday

We had a celebration at an Izakaya with a private room which we can do KTV. Though the room looked a little like a mad person's room, all padded up to prevent any injuries! haha

This pizza is pretty good. Sakura Ebi.

Monkey Cravings...

The other day I had banana crepes chips and suddenly I have this craving for bananas. Decided to make my own caramel banana sauce with pancakes. It was yummy especially since I did it on my own. Simple stuff, just sugar, butter and banana...oh ya, not forgetting rum.

The pancake looks weird because my pan cannot seem to make those small cute ones. The batter just spreads out. Oh ya, I actually did the batter myself since I had some flour left from the recent attempt of making cookies (which turned out like a soft cookie).

Inokashira 井の頭公園 Sakura 2009

On entering the park....what a sight. Even worst then Ueno I think.

I came here last year too....

Long queue for the toilet

Looks pretty romantic eh

I saw this pretty interesting guy

The sakura has started to fall...another change of the season

You cannot really see it clearly, click on the picture and look carefully. The petals were scatttering from the gust of the wind and it was a sight that is probably etched into my head. Truely like the movies.

Ueno Sakura 2009

The sakura in Ueno is in full bloom (満開), which means time to go sakura viewing. This is a very serious thing, it is a national hobby and there are accurate reports on when they sakura will be full bloom. The news will report on the situation and they will even have research of it.

This is the station at about 10am.

The crowd was not as bad as I thought it will be, but there was still a lot of people.

I think they played majong overnight.

Hangover from a night of Hanami

These blue mats are an eyesore, but it seems 99% of them uses them for their Hanami. They even had areas reserved for them. People come really early to get spaces and they friends follow with the food, and most important is the alcohol.

Even the otakus take a leave from Akihabara and come view the sakura. But not without their toys.

Usually they have such food stands area selling food too.

The crowd coming in when I was about to leave.
