Odaiba

This is the famous Rainbow bridge that people say is pretty nice at night. It is near a place called Odaiba which is pretty far. There is a few big shopping places over there, so it is probably worth the trip.

I forgot what building is this, but I am sure Magneto works there.

A pretty good sight to see colourful balloons being let out.

The night view, there was no stand so I had to hold the camera as steady as possible. Apparently not enough.


The huge ferries wheel. I think there are a few scattered in Japan.

Check out the queue for it, the waiting time was abt 1.5hours.


This is the Toyota showroom. The place is filled with cars and is 2 levels. The space is probably about the size of 4 times (or more) the space outside Takashimaya in Spore.

This is my friend trying the driver's training machine. It tests your reflexes and ability to see from the corner of your eye.

This theater lets you feel what the racing driver sees and the seats move. But it is not as vigorous as I thought it would be. The animation is powered by GT4.

They have this Auto driven mini car where you can seat. And it drives you around the place and outside of the building. We wanted to try but it cost $ and had a waiting time of 45mins.

This is pretty cool decoration, they placed the cars vertically up.

And I got try a racing car too....could not even fit into the seat. Must be getting too fat.

The is the simulator which is powered by GT4. The fun part is that you feel the jerks and twists which enables you to really feel how to turn.


This game is pretty interesting. You have to drive a public bus in it and make sure you signal, make annoucements etc.


Children Saloon and they equipted the seats with toy cars.


Lunch was katsu which taste as good as it looks.

The car museum



We entered a building which looks like Las Vegas.

Free = good ?

I was walking along the road and suddenly I was given a free magazine. It looked perfectly normal on the outside till I flipped the book.





















Call me a prude, I don't care. I am so innocent, the book shocked me. Can I survive here? =)

This is pretty common in Japan. Free magazines, free tissuepapers etc. Pretty entertaining eh.

Okonomiyaki

You order the kind of Japanese pancake that you want. It comes already prepared and you will have to mix it well. Mix it till it looks like a gooey paste. And then....
Slap it onto the pan. Now here comes the tricky part, you got to level it nicely or else the middle will not cook properly. Then you have to be patient and wait.

Finally turn it around. Oil is important or else your paste will stick to the pan.

When all is done, add some sweet sauce, mayo and flakes.

Saddest thing I heard so far

Sigh.... sad but true, Ana has already forgotten abt you. She keep wanting to see the airport pictures, but when i ask her who are you, she said "i dun know" so dun talk abt princess Dane or Aly. They will think u are stranger.

My sis sent me an email telling me that. How sad can that be!

This is the funniest thing I have seen so far, I should try it too.

Shinjuku and Kabukicho

We went to Shinjuku alittle later then usual as the day before we had a long walk. Started the day by walking aimlessly to see the crowd at the famous Shinjuku. Some pretty decent priced shops with nice stuff. But we decided to move on to other places before buying.

The usual sight which was not as common as Akihabara.

We got side tracked and ended up spending abt 2 hours getting the handphone. Long tedious process, it did not helped that the I only understood abt 20% of what the salesman was talking about.

Got a little hungry and decided to grab a quick bite. This is the famous ticket machine type of shop that is littered everywhere around Japan. And the food arrives really fast.


Check this building out, looks like we are in US. If I don't remember wrongly, this is Docomo's building.

We actually proceeded to a Shrine but it was closed by then. Too bad, It looked pretty grand from outside.

By the time we walked back from the Shrine, it was already dark. We strolled and chanced upon a really outstanding looking shop. It looks really innocent but when we entered.... (WARNING: Leave if you are uncomfortable)


Ahem....undies in those toy dispensering machine.

The place is VERY VERY cramp and small and it has about 4 levels. To show what the shop sells, I had to risk myself and take a picture.

I am so scarred.

Walking around more, I happen to see a alley into a building and behold, I was brought back to Pearl Center in Spore. Those poster, the place looks dingy.

We then proceeded to Kabukicho; also known to house the bars and apparently the Yakuzas (Gangsters) roam this area. We reached there abt 7plus and walked around. Apparently it was still early, that is why we did not see much action. Just people strolling and many occasional of good looking girls. And NO, I did not vist any bars. I will not understand what the girl accompany me is talking anyway. But lets just say I did go see other things which was pretty interesting.

This particular industry is HUGE. If you cannot make out the picture above, it is a poster for Host Clubs. Which is the female version of the bars. The ladies pay money for guys to serve them, accompany them. Along the streets you can see many well dressed guys walking, those are probably the hosts. I thought it was only a few bars, till I entered the main street, there were hugh billboards all around. I am really curious to see what goes on inside.



Among all the pretty boys, gangster looking people, well dressed japs, I found a huge square with old grannies dancing to traditional Jap music. I sure hope those are not the ones working in the Clubs.

There are some shops around which says 'Free Information' with the front door closed, thinking it was for tourist, we ventured in to find information abt the clubs. The wonders of Japan. There will even be a guy to introduce you to places and even lead you there.

In the midst of all the maddness, I saw something I was trying find for some time. A place where you play baseball. It is the baseball version of golf driving range. Robots will fire the baseball and you hit it will all your might. Maybe I will try it one day.
