I was heading to Uniqlo (It is considered to be the cheap brand in Japan) near my place when I say a queue. And like the sucker I am, I went to queue too.

It is suppose to be Tan Tan Mien. But looks a little like Laksa to me. It actually looked deadly to me, but tasted mild. I had to order the special chilli sauce to spice things up.

Lesson....when you have remainding soup in your noodles/steamboat etc, you order rice or noodles and add it into the soup and eat more.

Sunmerrry

I was looking for my sports shop to get some racket grips and actually got lost. Found this shop selling bread called Sunmerry. They have a fire baked oven to toast the bread. And I am a sucker for such things. Hahaha.

On a side note, I finally got some tennis action with the people from my workplace. Really nice to be back hitting. Almost forgot the feeling after 2months of no tennis. Hope there is more.

Back from Exodus

I was away for sometime trying to fix my laptop which went crazy. Then I got lazy when my mentor gave me a small TV and a HDD recorder. And when you are stuck in a little village, you have absolutely no motivation to go out to shop or anything. What did I do? I went online to spurge on a new PC and LCD monitor. To make things worst, I had to redo the entire setup as I did not like to work with a Japanese version of Vista. Firstly, I only tried Vista twice and was not used to it. Secondly, I did not know the specialise words the Japanese use for various PC settings. Which meant I could not change the settings easily or troubleshoot easily. Thus I went to do some "manipulation" to the system. Reformat my laptop with XP and Ubuntu. Which went along pretty fun other then it took quite some time for Linux to install. Vista prove to be A PAIN! Everytime it downloads something drivers, it messes with the audio or worst...the internet connection. I had to redo it a few times, and now...I just limit what it was downloading and make sure I remember to fix my restore point.

Alright, with so many things, I deicided to rearrange the room....check out the new setup

24inch Wide LCD, ability to pivot 180 degress, though I have not figured out what I want to do with that function. 5 year old Acer Laptop on dual boot XP and Linux. Wireless Keyboard and mouse. With that、I can watch shows on my bed, surf from the bed. Woohoo.

Television and HD recorder. Now I A fridge at the far right with my boiler and rice cooker on the top.

Not too sure if I showed this before, but the cupoards did not have shelves. So I had to get the plastic kind, which was expensive cause it was made in Japan. A wooden shelve for more daily wear. The space on the left is suppose to be for the fridge, but I bought a stick and s



I got a free Toshiba Calender too. Love the pictures.

Now that I have most of the stuff setup, I will like someone to sposor me a speaker set with bluetooth capabilities so I can soak in the bathtub and stream some music (A2DP of course). Another monitor so I can ...erm...just so I can. A new digital camera (Ricoh), a DSLR. A router so I can be hooked online on both machines. Hmm...I have many more things I want....

By the way, I am broke. Poor...whatever you call it.

Good part of Ozaku

Good part of staying a place so ulu....you get to see flowers on the way to work. They grow anywhere and some are grown specially by the people there.

Outside the On the Job Training

I went to Ozaku in Ome for my OJT. The place don't really have much things other then the pubs and few food places around the train station. The surroundings around the working place and my dormitory was sad. It was pretty quiet, so quiet that I cannot even find a place I will want to walk in to eat.

There were plenty of family restaurants (e.g Dennys, Wendys), which basically shouts MEDIOCRE. The place did have a bowling alley which we went to play with some Japaneses from the work place. They were very good at it and that is probably because there is nothing to do there.

I found a baseball training place. A machine will pitch the ball and you try to hit. Let's just say tennis does not help.
My room over there is basically about the same, a little smaller and looks older.
The biggest complain is the cupboard, if even I want to complaint, what do you think a girl will do?
Chair is definately better then what I currently have at Tsurumi.
Can you see my work place? The building with the red words. And to justify why I say the place is ulu, take a look at the patch of land where they are growing plants. The area has the whole Tuas feel to it. Haiz....

Off I go for a retreat
